Vestaburg Battles Shorthanded, Falls to Central Montcalm 64–50 The Vestaburg Wolverines showed grit and resilience Tuesday night despite entering the matchup severely shorthanded. Missing starters Brehm Warciznsky Jr. and Koltin Kilmer Sr. due to injury, Vestaburg leaned heavily on its young players — and the underclassmen rose to the moment. Freshman Jack Kilmer and Walker Arntz delivered strong performances in extended roles, helping steady the Wolverines after a slow start. Vestaburg trailed just 16–8 after the first quarter and continued to battle throughout, staying within reach heading into the final period before ultimately falling 64–50. Wolverine Player Performances Lucas Warczinsky — 18 pts, 8 assists 5 rebounds Jansen Scholer — 16 pts, 2 steals Kofee Arntz — 8 pts, 8 rebounds, 4 steals Jackson Kilmer — 5 pts, 4 rebounds Walker Arntz — 3 pts Despite the loss, the Wolverines’ effort stood out — especially from the freshmen stepping into big minutes. Vestaburg will look to build on the toughness and competitiveness shown as they await the return of their injured starters.
