The Vestaburg Wolverines leaned on relentless defensive pressure to grind out a hard-fought victory over the Fulton Pirates on Tuesday night, overcoming a cold shooting performance to secure the win. Lily Johnston once again led the Wolverines on both ends of the floor, finishing with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals as she set the tone for Vestaburg’s high-energy attack. Jaiden Anderson added 7 points, 2 rebounds, an assist, and 2 steals, providing key scoring bursts when the offense stalled. Kaydence Bills made her presence felt in multiple ways, stuffing the stat sheet with 9 rebounds, 7 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals while controlling the tempo and helping Vestaburg win the battle on the glass. Jessica Stouten delivered one of the game’s standout defensive performances, recording a remarkable 10 steals to go with 4 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Despite struggling to knock down shots throughout the night, Vestaburg’s ability to fly around defensively and force turnovers proved to be the difference. The Wolverines’ constant pressure disrupted Fulton’s rhythm and allowed them to maintain control down the stretch. With the win, Vestaburg continues to build momentum behind its defensive identity—a trait that once again carried them to victory.
