The varsity girls basketball team turned in a strong all-around effort against Tri-County Area High School, using balanced scoring and active defense to remain competitive throughout. Leading the way offensively was Lily Johnston, who scored 18 points while filling the stat sheet with 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Johnston set the tone early by attacking the basket and creating opportunities for teammates, finishing as the game’s top scorer. Support came from several players across the lineup. Callie Bills and Jaiden Anderson each added 7 points, with Anderson also contributing a team-high 5 steals to spark the defense. Jessica Stouten chipped in 5 points and 3 assists, helping move the ball effectively in the half-court offense. On the boards, the team showed strong effort. Kaydence Bills grabbed 9 rebounds to match the team lead, while also adding 4 points and a block. The team’s work on the glass helped create second-chance opportunities and limit Tri-County Area’s possessions. Defensively, the group remained active, recording multiple steals, deflections, and blocks, forcing turnovers and keeping the game within reach. The defensive intensity and rebounding effort were key highlights of the contest. The team will look to build on its defensive energy, ball movement, and balanced scoring performance as the season continues.
