The Lady Wolverines delivered a strong performance Tuesday evening at the second MSAC jamboree of the season, hosted in Merrill. In a tightly contested meet, the girls' varsity team tied for second place with Sacred Heart—but clinched the runner-up spot thanks to a sixth-runner tiebreaker, courtesy of CJ Rose. The team effort was highlighted by Jessica Stouten, who earned a 3rd-place finish with a school record time of 22:09, and Cora Carver, who placed 15th in 24:27, also another school record. Both runners earned All-MSAC honors for their performances. Adding to the team success, Rose’s run of 30:32 marked a personal record and proved decisive in the final scoring tie-break. On the boys’ side, Demetrius Gondek earned All-MSAC honors for the second time this season, placing 16th with a time of 20:14. Ethan Walker followed closely with a season record of 20:29, showing continued improvement for the boys' squad. The middle school teams also showed promise, with Riley Fitch leading the girls in 5th place with a personal record of 13:58, and Preston Bollinger finishing in 13:36 for the boys.
